Week beginning - Monday 22nd November 2021
We have been working hard on alliteration this week. The children were given a letter and were asked to consider adjectives, verbs, nouns and time words that start with that letter. Once they had filled in their sections, the children created sentences which naturally included alliteration. We have been continuing our learning around materials this week. The children answered the big question 'Do all materials have the same properties?' They began by making predictions. The children then tested a variety of materials and recorded whether they do or do not have that particular property. The children recorded their findings using a table and then concluding their answer in full sentences. This week in art we made colour wheels using a variety of materials: pencil, felt tip pen, crayon and paint. The children really enjoyed doing this and worked very hard. Next week we will be using our colour wheels to help us when choosing colours for our pictures inspired by Hundertwasser.
